Happy All Saint's Day. We now remember all those fine men and women whom the Church has not yet recognized for their devotion to Jesus Christ, and whom we believe are in Heaven. Now, I could go on with glowing bios of all the uncanonized souls I sometimes refer prayers to, but that would throw my audience into another fit.
Sadly, this holy day has not been too good to me, probably because half of the prayers I give to God these days are for things that God, due to knowledge hidden from me at the time, cannot grant me. I assure you, if there was a saint for hopeless romantics, h/she would find a great devotee in yours truly.
In their lives, people have the templates, time, matter, and the supernatural, and within those their duties and devotions. I have fulfill the duties quite well so far, but whenever I try my hand on a comforting devotion, it backfires. And I assure you, it is not fair. How is it that, in a college with a 40/60 men/women ratio, all the women are already taken? It's like Satan is bending the laws of probability to make me sad and lonely!
Salvador Dali & Francisco Franco, pray for me.

Perhaps if you lose the tie, style your hair, and make your appearance more approachable, you wouldn't scare women off.
Yeah, because women love slobs like 'anonymous'.
I didn't say he had to look like a slob. Quite the contrary, actually. An 18 year old who constantly wears a suit is not approachable for girls his age. If he tries a different style and demeanor, perhaps he will be more lady-friendly.
Good work, Rob! Before you provided me with one of those rare delights, a non-critical comment, I was going to threaten my readers with the "nuclear option", i.e. banning anonymous comments.
I will explain my style to my acquaintances in the next post.
Dear Leslie,
All souls day is the day recognizing the souls who have not been canonized yet by the church, but that we trust have found a place with YHWH. The Roman Catholic celebration is based on the doctrine that the souls of the faithful which at death have not been cleansed from venial sins, or have not fully atoned for mortal sins, cannot attain the beatific vision in heaven yet, and that they may be helped to do so by prayer and by the sacrifice of the Mass. All Saints day, commerates all the saints in the roman church, known and unknown.
just thought you'd like to know the difference
Yours,
a jew (no I'm not sneezing)
