A bit poorly done, but I found this cool picture with Google Image Search.

I have, somehow, been too distracted to follow the '08 presidential race for the last two days. Recently, though, I found this shocking and amusing article on Rudy Giuliani, and why Catholics cannot vote for him. It even surprised me, and he's been one of my least favorite politicians for a while now.
As I said a few months ago, even a vote for Jonathon "the Impaler" Sharkey a Hecate witch running for the Vampyres, Witches, and Pagans party ticket would be more acceptable, because he does NOT believe abortion should be used as a form of birth control. Of course, it it does turn into a Rudy vs Hillary race [i.e., Trotsky vs Stalin], good Catholics will have better options, as a third candidate might arise to carry on the good fight against gay "marriage" and murder in the womb. If not, there's always the Constitution party. But in any case, no thinking person, let alone a Roman Catholic, can vote for such an immoral, liberty-hating, warmongering pro-choicer as Rudolph Giuliani.

what do you have against gay marriage? i know in the bible it says marriage should be between a man and a woman, but love is love.
the bible shouldn't control all that you think. i myself am very catholic, but i also have gay friends, and if they want to get married, all power to them.
love is love.
Hello, Romans I. Also Sodom and Gomorrah in light of what the General Epistle of St. Jude said on it. Also, how about the clear teaching of the Church on the matter.
Again, I'm not against gays, just against what they do. You can't be "very Catholic" if you don't accept what the Church has always taught about the nature and limits of matrimony. Remember when God outlined what the family would be like in Genesis 1-3? Proper marriage must be made on that model.
Love is love is a vague generalization, and is therefore illogical as you are interpreting it. Human nature was corrupted in the fall, so it is possible for there to be illegitimate romantic love where only brotherly love is proper. Also, unless one accepts the authority of a body like the Church (and the Bible) on homosexuality, how can one logically justify ANY condemnation of an action done for emotional reasons as immoral; even condemning pedophilia, rape, or murder would be based on nothing more than personal, weightless preference. Think about it logically. Unless one accepts the Church's authority wherever it has been dogmatically applied, it is meaningless, and nothing is immoral. Without the authority of God, everything is moral.
I'm don't think having gay friends is a good basis for one's arguments, Amber. And mind you, did youb think I was doing this to be mean? I too have had gay, lesbian, and bisexual friends, but I would just as readily speak the truth to them because I loved them, and didn't want to lie to or mislead them.
The Bible, with the Catholic Church's interpretation, is always a good source of authority. It was written with Divine Inspiration, and is inerrant.
I may have missed something, but you get the gist. Good luck and wisdom to ya. God bless! And thanks for reading my blog.
no, i did not think you were trying to be mean at all. i know that you're very good friends with the bible.
but let's remember the bible was written almost 2000 years ago...some of that stuff could be obsolete.
and i guess i'm not "very" catholic in the ways of the teachings, but i'm big on the community service aspect, and teach others the way you would like to be treated, etc.
Since Brownback dropped out I went and officially joined the Ron Paul campaign. Thought you should know.
Amber,
If I love my dog and wish to cohabitate with it (and "conjugate") will you support that? If you think that is ridiculous, why? What made you draw the line there?
rob, thats what we call bestiality.
Amber,
Men sleeping with men is homosexuality.
yes rob, i understand that. i am a big girl who uses big girl words! what a shocker.
open your mind. not everyone has to be just like you.
-open your mind. not everyone has to be just like you.-
What does this mean? We must speak different languages. Mine has logical syntax.
amber-
i suggest that in order to understand whether or not homosexuality is correct or not, you must first understand what it is that makes people homosexual. The idea that homosexuals are 'born that way' is a myth.

sorry, i was away for the weekend. anyway, let's put it in a context you understand. well, actually, i'm not sure if this is correct, but do you believe that all homosexuals will go to hell? if so, why not let them get married if they're already going there?
this may seem inhumane on my part, but i'm trying to understand it from your point of view. please correct me if i'm wrong.
No, all homosexuals will NOT go to Hell. This is another confusion between homosexuals and homosexual acts, the former of which is an unfortunate disposition with elements of both nature and nurture in its formation, the latter of which is carrying out a lifestyle which goes against the plan God made for our relationships. Although I cannot determine how God will judge any person for their actions, homosexuality and homosexual acts are just like any illegitimate equivalents heterosexuals have: the former inclination can be resisted, and the latter sins can be forgiven.
I love Rudy Giuliani and I am pro-life,...sometimes we have to look at who would be the best leader for our country.
well, it seems to me that (according to the bible's definition of matrimony) the purpose of marriage is to produce and raise healthy children. seeing as more children are being born to irresponsible (heterosexual) women in the world today than they can care for, if loving homosexual parents want to make up for the sins of those people within the context of marriage to raise healthy children not necessarily their own, they should be allowed to. interpreting the bible literally is dangerous, especially when you've been "catholic" for about five minutes.
