Sweet home Alabama... they just amended their constitution to ban homosexual marriage; now, if only the Bay State had a sliver of a chance of ever doing that!
I mean, what's going on?! The only reasons everyone is becoming more accepting of homosexuality is that they are either moral relativists who wish to avoid their only evil: clinging to good vs. embracing sinfulness for its own sake (they're libertarians), and that they are blind to reality. The Netherlands is sometimes cited as having few divorces. Of course, the catch is that prostitution is legal there, along with all of the contraception we have over here, so those are really fake figures which liberals cite. They also claim that they have lower divorce rates in this state because they are more liberal and moral. Even if this is true (I bet its because of the predominancy of Catholicism), just think of how ultraconservatives like myself could lower the divorce rate if we abolished no-fault divorce laws, limiting that un-Christian separation to physical abuse and the like!
Well, 'til then, I'll just keep singing that sweet Leonard Skinnard song... (I hope I spelled that correctly)

Honestly I'm a tad offended at your pejorative comment on the rise of homosexuality. Just because someone accepts a homosexual does not mean they are a "moral relativist" and/or "blind to reality".
Now, perhaps I interpret the first phrase with a more negative connotation than you mean to imply, but that entire sentence gives me the impression that you think such people are not good people at all (i.e. that they have no morals, or any that you would deem of higher intelligence than a cave-man). Moreover, what happened to the Christian value of "loving your neighbor"? With all your negative talk of chinese people homosexuals, you do not come across as a very loving person (except to the "pretty damsels" whom you write sonnets for of course"). Or is there a clandestine clause under that commandment stating that "neighbor" only applies to certain types of people?
As for someone being blind to reality, have you ever considered that maybe being blind is not such a bad thing? Haven't you heard of the saying "ignorance is bliss"? I don't mean to say that it's okay for a person to base their entire life on such a saying, but honestly what is so bad about letting homosexuals do their own thing if they're not hurting anyone? The biggest argument I've heard (besides that God says it's evil) is that some poeple do not want to see two men or two women kissing in public and the like. If this is what you think as well, all I have to say is I've seen plenty of heterosexual couples kissing whom I think should be banned from doing so in public. However, that does not mean I think a male and a female should not be together. Thus, I choose to make myself blind to them so I don't recreate my lunch. So I say, what's so wrong with having the same attitude toward same-sex couples?
